Wine: Art vs Science - Different topic completely but this is the only way I could find to msg you. I just finished listening to a podcast about American wine production and what is actually in their ingredients list. Apparently in addition to grapes, US producers can add up to 70 different ingredients. I’m curious about the state of the ‘industry’ in Portugal. I never thought about it much until listening to the above mentioned podcast from the Outside/In podcast, but there really isn’t an ingredients list on wine like there is on most everything else we consume. So what’s actually in wine, and why? - especially those mass-produced ones that strive for consistency from tanker truck to tanker truck and year to year?
